United Nations and ISO Cooperate on Global CSR Standards

14. January 2010 11:46
The United Nations Global Compact and the International Organization for Standardization will be celebrating the adoption of ISO 26000, an international standard providing "guidance" on corporate social responsibility. Foreseen to be adopted by the end of this year, the ISO 26000 guidelines will be the benchmark against which the United Nations, environmentalists, human rights advocates, and government officials will measure corporate "behavior" and demand reforms and reparations accordingly.  For more information on ISO 26000, please visit: http://www.iso.org/iso/socialresponsibility.pdf
