Tonight 1 billion people will go to bed hungry

October 16 was World Food day, or for 1 in 6 people – no food day. The United Nations and World Food Programme are calling on the world to remember the 1 billion people who lack access to food. Climate and market changes have increased the number of people who are food insecure. As a global community, we must improve our production and distribution of food so that everyone has the nourishment they need to survive.
